Thrive Parent University
As we have seen through Pastor Jerry's series on social justice, we live out the gospel by seeking to show the grace and mercy of Jesus to all, but especially to those who are needy and can give nothing in return. This fall, NCC Outreach & Missions Ministry is providing 3 dates where you can do just that. Through our partnership with Thrive St. Louis, we have the opportunity to come alongside single moms or parents who are in need of guidance in parenting by offering childcare while they receive that teaching.
From 5-8pm at Hope Lutheran Church in south city, Thrive hosts Parent University which instructs single moms and parents on the basics of raising and caring for children. Many of these mothers chose life over having an abortion, but are unprepared for raising their child. By providing childcare, we free up the mother to listen intently to the teaching as well as hear a gospel presentation.
If you are interested in participating, please follow this link and choose which date works best for you (feel free to sign up for multiple dates). A background check is required and is done by Thrive. Please respond by September 18th so that we can communicate to Thrive what dates we can commit to. We will communicate further details to you once we get closer to the dates.
